You know, the same stuff everyone is doing while waiting for the next patch. If you have never tried PvP, and you don't even know how it works. So should you try it? If so, do you use your main class? Or use something you are leveling? How PvP works and how someone like you can give it a try without immediately hating it? If you have any more troubles when playing Final Fantasy XIV, FFXIV4Gil.com can not only provide best Cheap FFXIV Gil in FFXIV but also best solutions for all players, we will help you to enjoy more fun in this game.
Right now if you jump into a Frontline duty, you'll be plopped into the Shatter map with either 24 or 72 people. I think since it's late in the patch cycle, you'll probably just be in 24 man matches. You're grouped into your GC faction and your goal is to get points by various means. You get some by killing enemies, occupying bases and "shattering" ice clusters that spawn throughout the match.
▶ First team to 1000 wins. If you don't know what you're doing just follow your group. Chances are you'll be with people that do. Or bots. It's a toss up.
▶ Either way, in my experience, people aren't super rude or anything. Sometimes there's attempts at coordination, sometimes silence.
▶ You'll get points for the roulette and participation if you're after them for glamor.
▶ In 4.3, they are gonna rotate the maps daily between Shatter, Seize and Seal Rock. I don't know anything about the latter two, so hooray for learning on the fly. But it's probably the most forgiving of the PvP modes for new people from what I've heard (with Feast being a whole other beast and Rival Wings pretty much dead), so start there!
▶ Definitely go to the Wolves Den and figure out your skills first. It's set up differently than normal.
