It took 60 fire engines and numerous firefighters to tackle the blaze, which burned for 15 hours before finally being brought under control Friday morning.

The blaze filled the fish market, a popular destination for locals and tourists, and the nearby area with thick smoke.
It has been estimated, the firefighters said, that an area of about 935 square meters was burned in the fire.
Around 200 houses in the vicinity of the fire were without electricity for a period of time, as Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc. cut the power supply to the area.
This request came from the Tokyo fire department to limit complications extinguishing the fire such as explosions and to ensure it remained contained.
The Tokyo fire department said it believes the fire started in a three-story building and quickly spread to surrounding buildings.
Investigators on Friday will look into the cause of the blaze.
