Booked a holiday with tui six months ago, have received an email advising that the hotel we booked had been mis advertised and so didn't contain facilities we require. They have offered a £50 token, free cancellation or amendment. We are keen to amend the holiday as after searching being six months further down the line holidays have gone up in price and there is less availability. Tui will not offer to cover any difference in cost to change hotels even though the only reason we are looking to do this is due to their error. We have been flexible on changing dates, location, airport yet nothing in return. There is a group of ten of us travelling and the holiday booked is close to 9k's worth of business yet they won't negotiate on a few hundred pounds on the back of their own mistake. They are happy for us to cancel and walk away , we would if there were holidays of the same price still avaliable. This alm seems very unfair, we didn't ask for any changes, they made the mistake and, waited six months to tell us and can't offer an alternative only cancellation, can anyone give any advice? Do we have rights to demand they pay the difference to our us in another hotel?
