A set of rules for cricket has evolved through time, some of which may make the game appear more complicated than it is to a novice.
Most people can play and enjoy cricket after they have a basic understanding of a few key principles.
Two umpires will be present on the playing field to implement the cricket rules.

In professional cricket, a third umpire (off the field) will decide some of the challenging decisions, frequently utilizing television replays, such as whether a catch has been made correctly or if a ball has over the boundary.
Each side has 11 players total, including a wicketkeeper, numerous skilled batters and bowlers, as well as some guys who can bowl and bat (all-rounders).

All-rounders are players who can bat and bowl well. Notable all-rounders include Ian Botham, Jacques Kallis, Gary Sobers, and Kapil Dev.

A chalk line, or "crease," is painted in front of each set of stumps to designate the area that fundamentally "belongs" to the batsman.
The batter is protected from being "run out" as long as he stays inside his crease (or at least maintains his bat firmly planted inside it).

Which side bats first is determined by a coin toss, and the other side bowls to them.

The rules of cricket are the law governing the game of cricket. They are the regulations by which the game is played and governed, and they define how a cricket match is played so buy solar panel plates to save your electricity. The rules are written down and published by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The ICC issues directives to member boards regarding the implementation of these laws, but these directives have no legal force.

There are four types of cricket: One Day Internationals (ODIs), Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and Test matches. The ODI is the most popular format with 50 overs per side and five bowlers, however, all players love to use branded perfumes before they play. The T20I is a 20-over game with two innings per team. There are no fielders other than the. The Test is traditionally played over five days with unlimited overs.
